Chickpea Protein
One of the main ingredients found in all three of our vegan Collagyn range is a new chickpea protein powder that’s incredibly nutritious.
When it comes to vegan and plant-based nutrition, chickpeas provide a wide range of amnio acids including essential amino acids which are often hard to find on a predominately plant diet.
With plant-based nutrition in mind, we combine this chickpea protein powder with brown rice and pea protein powders to provide a more comprehensive range of amino acids.

Collagen Specific Amino Acids
Collagen is an important structural protein providing strength and integrity to numerous body tissues including skin, bones, cartilage, blood vessel walls, ligaments, tendons and connective tissues.
There are many different types of collagen all formed around 17 different amino acids with the main composition of collagen being formed from five key amino acids - glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, arginine and alanine.
We’ve formulated ourRadiant Collagyn with vegan and naturally fermented forms of these key amino acids.
Beetroot
Vibrant deep pink and packed with earthy flavors, beetroot has long been one of our favorite ingredients. It’s rich in nutrients like folate, vitamin C, manganese, potassium, and fiber, plus powerful plant compounds such as betanin, an antioxidant.
Beetroot also contains inorganic nitrates, which may help support healthy blood pressure by converting to nitric oxide.
Our organic beetroot powder adds a rich, velvety depth, enhancing both its flavour and nutrient profile.
Chicory Root Inulin
Soluble fibre is an important food source for the diverse numbers of friendly microbes that naturally reside in the gut microbiome.
Our organic inulin is sourced form chicory root and has a light, sweet and subtle malty flavour that helps satisfy those afternoon sweet tooth cravings.
Also, being a source of fibre, inulin also helps to keep you feeling fuller for longer – so it’s a win-win ingredient!

MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides)
MCT’s are readily utilised for cellular energy production and easily convert into ketones which may provide an alternative energy source for brain cells.
Rest assured our True MCT oil is sustainably sourced 100% from coconuts, never from palm oil, and is extracted using pure steamed distillation and gentle hydrolysis to contain C8 (60%) and C10 (40%).

Vitamin C
Not all vitamin C’s are created equal. The most common version of vitamin C, called ascorbic acid, has a very low absorption rate and often triggers digestive disturbance.
So we formulate our products with a gentle on the gut, buffered form of vitamin C called magnesium ascorbate which has far superior absorption than standard ascorbic acid.
Magnesium ascorbate is one of our most important ingredients in terms of health benefits, daily wellbeing, collagen renewal and supporting skin cell protection.
Rosehip Berry Powder
Long used in traditional Chinese medicine, skin experts have also been proclaiming the beauty benefits of this bright red autumn berry for decades - and with good reason!
Rosehips are a naturally great source of vitamin C which is why this berry has a reputation for nurturing your skin from within.

Haskap Berry
This tangy blue berry is native to the Northern Hemisphere and thrives in countries such as Japan, Siberia, Kamchatka, Poland and Eastern Europe.
With a nutritional profile that includes vitamin C, iridoids, cholorogenic acid, quercetin, luteolin and levels of polyphenols (including anthocyanins) far higher than other well-known berries. These nutrients work synergistically to help protect cells from the harmful effects of oxidative stress caused by free radicals.

Vegan Vitamin D
Vitamin D is made by skin cells when exposed to sunlight but national studies across many European countries, indicate that deficiencies in vitamin D are commonplace.
Vitamin D is naturally found in meat, fish and dairy products making this vitamin hard to find when following a plant-based diet.

Can I take Radiant Collagyn when taking other vitamin and mineral-based supplements?
Radiant Collagyn contains 189 mg Vitamin C, 25 ug Vitamin D 450ug Biotin, 12mg Zinc and 73g Choline. These are all safe and effective vitamins at higher doses, but we would always recommend checking with your GP if you are prescribed supplements, to ensure it is a suitable addition to your diet.
Is vegan collagen as effective as animal based collagen?
Collagen exists naturally in animals, as a very large complex molecule constructed from lots of long chains of polypeptides formed from different sequences of amino acids. The collagen molecule itself is far too big to be absorbed across the gut wall, so it needs to be broken down during digestion into single amino acids, or much smaller units called peptides, to be easily absorbed into the body. The long amino acid chains are mainly formed from just 5 key amnio acids – glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, arginine and alanine. Instead of using animal derived hydrolysed collagen peptides, our vegan Collagyn contains generous amounts of all 5 of these amino acids, from vegan and fermented sources, alongside vitamin C a key cofactor for the enzymes which build new collagen molecules - making the mechanism of action slightly different to animal dervired collagen but instead providing the body with the tools it needs.
Can I take Radiant Collagyn if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
We recommend you always consult with your doctor or midwife about the supplements you take during your pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding - seeing as they know your personal health history, they are best placed to give you the green light on nutritional changes. It can be tricky to talk about whether a product is safe to use during pregnancy/ breastfeeding, as ethical challenges around research in pregnant people means there are often little to no studies available in this area. "I love the Radiant Collagyn it tastes great and I noticed a difference in knee pain and skin after a few weeks of taking. It's got a lovely raspberry flavour that I find best stirred into yoghurt (bonus is that the pink colour is fabulous!) or into a protein shake/smoothie. "I really love this collagen product, I was using the marine collagen for quite sometime in hot cacao (which was nice) but I prefer this product because I can mix it into my plain yoghurt or Kerfir at breakfast time. So I am taking it every day now. Add in a few blueberries, crushed walnut and chia seeds and I am all set up. It tastes so nice incorporating it into a healthy breakfast. I really recommend it.
